CATHOLIC EDUCATION

CATHOLIC SCHOOL VITALITY, PARISH VITALITY, AND CHURCH VITALITY ARE ALL INTERCONNECTED.

The Crimsonbridge Foundation supports Catholic education by working to increase Catholic school enrollment, sustainability, and vitality. We take a whole-community approach to increasing family engagement and student enrollment in Catholic schools, and partner with schools, nonprofits, and dioceses to be welcoming and inclusive to all families.

VISION

We seek to enrich the Catholic school experience and foster welcoming, engaging, sustainable school communities, by expanding bilingual communications, parent engagement, professional development strategies, tuition assistance, and English language programs for adults. This work has positive implications for all families, schools, parishes, and dioceses, and this vision aligns with the mission of Catholic education and the Catholic Church. Our vision includes:

  • Thriving Catholic schools with strong enrollment numbers

  • Schools that contribute to parish and Church vitality by welcoming students and families into the sacramental life of the Church

  • School communities with strong parent engagement, where all families are invited to share their gifts and talents

  • Schools that reflect the rich and beautiful diversity of the Catholic Church in the United States

STRATEGY

Our strategy focuses on supporting Catholic school leadership and professional development, communications capacity, and tuition assistance.

  • Leadership and Professional Development: Studies show that school leadership engagement is critical to building a school culture that is welcoming and meets the needs of all students. Crimsonbridge investments have supported: The University of Notre Dame’s Latino Enrollment Institute On the Road in the Archdiocese of Washington and the University of Notre Dame’s Latino Educator and Administrator Development Program.

  • Capacity Building: We partner at the school and diocesan level to support Catholic school vitality and sustainability through language access, parent engagement, and strategic communications.

  • Tuition Assistance: The Crimsonbridge Foundation created the Education Imperative Fund to provide tuition assistance as one piece of a holistic approach to serving students and families. Crimsonbridge also provides partial scholarships in partnership with the Archdiocese of Washington.

Our vision and strategy converge in our signature Bridges for Schools Program.

Bridges for Schools is a replicable and scalable research-based program, seeking to strengthen Catholic schools, increase enrollment, and improve retention by developing strategic communications that foster belonging and meaningful engagement for all students and families. The program provides schools with resources and tools in bilingual communications (such as English and Spanish), parent engagement strategies, and more.
