The Laudato Si’ initiative brings together trusted partners united in mission to support environmental sustainability work within the U.S. Catholic Church. It is shaping a framework rooted in collaboration, guided by respect, and aligned with the Church’s call to stewardship and care for creation.
The new Laudato Si’ Leadership Cohort marks an important step in helping dioceses move from design to implementation. Convened by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), the cohort brings together diocesan representatives from across the country to develop local action plans rooted in Laudato Si’. Even amid severe winter weather in Washington, D.C., 18 dioceses attended the cohort’s opening gathering, underscoring the commitment behind this effort and the growing momentum for ecological conversion in Catholic life.
Crimsonbridge Group, in partnership with the Crimsonbridge Foundation, Catholic Extension Society, FADICA - Catholic Philanthropy Network, the Laudato Si' Working Group, Catholic Climate Covenant, Catholic Energies Service Platform, and additional key partners, are all working together to provide trusted frameworks and practical tools to help ministries and organizations discern their environmental goals, advance sustainability, free resources for mission, and witness to Pope Francis and Pope Leo XIV’s call to care for creation and steward resources responsibly. Ultimately, together the work aspires to build bridges of faith, stewardship, and sustainability for rising generations and our common home.
